i cut all my hair off. it doesn't look rock and roll. it doesn't look emo or indie or hardcore or whatever genre you silly kids are placing cool hair in these days. but it's comfortable. and it's cool (temperature wise). and i can wear a hat now.

i guess the point i'm really trying to make is - my 'look' is no longer in tact, and i couldn't care less. no, correction, your 'look' that i tried so hard to mimic is no longer in tact.

day by day and link by link the chains are breaking away.

the music, the clothes, the hair do not make the man. the sooner we all get that the better off most of us will be. i am allowed to listen to bright eyes, poison the well, eminem and tim mcgraw all in the same day if that's my prerogative. i am allowed to wear a t-shirt bigger than youth large. i am allowed to not be depressed. i am allowed to be me. i am allowed to not be you. i am allowed to be patriotic. i am allowed to talk with a southern accent. i am allowed to go into hot topic. i am allowed to walk right by it and flip off the salesman. i am allowed to do whatever i want to do, whether you think it's posi, trendy, emo, rock and roll, etc. or not.

hi, i'm jon. nice to meet you.
