so i was walking in the woods behind my house, trying to finish out this one month long roll of film, when i found a little boy's shoe. it had apprently been there for quite awhile considering the amount of mold that had grown both inside and outside of the shoe. i snapped a couple pictures of it from different angles and moved on. of course, after that, my thought process had shifted from "arbitrarily point and shoot and just get it over with" to "ooo, i wonder if i can find a skull or something." i know, i'm a sick, sick man. a few minutes later i decided i would head over to a small secret pond in the middle of the woods and see if i could find a frog or maybe, if i'm lucky, a femur. both make for great photos. on the way there, i happened to look down into a briar thicket and noticed, what's this?, something white? are those teeth? yes, yes they are. so i closed my shutter twice and decided to get a better look at what appeared to be a small jawbone. i was afraid to touch it because it would be considered evidence if the bones were indeed human. after examining them as well as possible without actually picking them up, i came to the conclusion that i had no clue. so i looked around a little more to see if i could find evidence of any actual human remains. i looked in the pond, in the other briar thickets and even under piles of leaves. nothing. the only evidence i had was the shoe. but what's this i see? the other shoe? on the other side of the woods? hmmm...how strange. so i go back to the bone, pick it up because i can't stand it any longer and...

wouldn't you know it?
