so i'm working night shift now. strange, because now it feels like i've actually joined the workforce. you know, that big thing that grown ups become members of so they can pay their big bad bills. i pretty much do the same job, except i don't get to drive any of the cool bmws anymore. just the annoyingly compact roadsters and the lame SUVs. no M3s, M5s, 540s, or 6 speed mini coopers. getting to drive those cars was well worth the 3 months of constant managerial badgering i had to put up with during the day. but it's cool because now i just get to go to work, do my job without somebody breathing down my neck, and go home and sleep. makes me feel like an adult. i can't say that i won't miss taking a mini to the back of the lot, revvin' her up to 6, dumpin' the clutch and lightin' 'em up till the tires start smokin'(that's southern car guy talk). but i think i'm going to like this night shift deal more in the long run. i get paid more and i only work 3 nights per week. that means more time for me and the beast. she will shine. bwa ha ha.
